Is losing weight really all it's cracked up to be? Experts say that nearly 1/3 of Americans are over weight. Do you believe it? When you walk down a street, does one out of every 3 people you see seem to be over weight?
Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, but the thing only you can answer is "Am I over weight?" If you like the way you look, great! If you don't, then what are you doing about it?
Now, there are all kinds of articles, videos, websites, programs and secret pills out there to claim they can help you lose weight. I'm not here to tell you they can or cannot, that's for you to decided. What I want to do is give you something to think about. Not HOW to lose weight, but what you look like WHEN you lose the weight.
Let's say you want to lose some pounds. How many is up to you. You want to lose the weight because you want to look better, which is a great thing.
OK, so you've made the decision to lose it, now I want you to take a concept and apply it to yourself, ok? Visualize a nice big pear. Yes, the fruit. Visualize that pear in front of you. Notice its shape; thinner at the top and bigger at the bottom. That's just what a pear looks like, right?
Now, think of that same pear, only smaller. What do you see? You probably see the same shaped pear, but thinner, right? You see, the shape of the pear didn't change, only the size. It went from a nice, big, plump pear, to a thinner version of that same pear, right?
The point is, if the result of your losing weight is a thinner you, as good as that may be, is that the result you were looking for? In other words, did your body shape change?
My point, if your body shape is like a pear and all you do is lose weight, as great as that is, your body shape is still like a pear's, right? {I'm sure I'll get people arguing with me on that on, but I'm talking concepts here, ok?}
So, you'll need to do something to reshape your body while you're losing the weight. Get where I'm coming from? You're already doing the weight loss thing, now just throw in some activities to strengthen the muscles in your body. I'm not saying become a body builder, but you MUST do something to gain or tone muscle somewhere in your body.
Doing that will reshape your body so you won't be looking like a thinner pear, get it?
